7. Michigan Railway Station, Detroit

Detroit is a symbol of industrial downfall, and the Michigan train station magnifies its historical importance. Built over a century ago, the station was once the most lavish railway station in the region. It hasn’t seen a train in over twenty years. There is a disagreement among the people about what should be done with it: no money is available for restoration, so some say it should be demolished due to its deteriorating state, while others think it is still a beautiful sight and photographers come to take pictures of the grand station in its ruined condition.
