John Tosto bought the dome houses in 2005, but has not yet done anything with them. There is a lot of controversy over their renewal, and it is said that Tosto could be fined $185,000. In my opinion, they must not be renovated. Their look is peculiar and, honestly speaking, revamping them is pretty much like demolishing them since there is not much that can be done to them. The outside look can be preserved, but it is simpler – and safer – to build them from scratch.

The dome houses attract a lot of tourists, which I understand. Looking at the “Floating Forest” is quite mesmerizing. Trees are growing in the destroyed vessel, creating a somewhat eerie sight. If you take a look at the area from above on GoogleMaps, you will see that it looks even more bizarre.
