6. The Wonderland Amusement Park

China tried to create a Wonderland theme park 32 kilometers away from Beijing as an answer to Disneyworld. It could have been the largest amusement park in Asia, and they broadcasted the building while working on it. However, the attempt ceased in 1998 due to fiscal problems. Another shot to construct the park was made in 2008 but that was unsuccessful too. In May, the incomplete and remaining parts of the park were taken down but there were a lot of sightseers who had already visited, with a particular man in the parking lot leading them.
