12. Angkorvat, Cambodia

Angkor Wat is a magnificent temple complex in Angkor that required the hard work of 5000 sculptors, stone carvers and 50,000 laborers over a span of 30 years. It has great spiritual importance for both Hinduism and Buddhism and is an emblem of Cambodia, being depicted in the national flag and crest.
