We all recognize our less-than-desirable habits, yet we put off dealing with them and make excuses instead. As Samuel Johnson famously said, “It is not until our bad habits become so entrenched that we can no longer break them that we realize how strong they have become.”
Needlessly snacking, excessively consuming alcohol and spending an extended duration of time on the couch are surely not good practices. It is probable that boredom caused the initiation of such habits. Stress and worry can result in fidgety activities like biting your nails, tapping your toes, or gritting your teeth. Additionally, there are psychological habits like staying in a relationship that is bad for you. Changing undesirable habits consumes time and energy, but largely it requires self-insight and determination.
Make a sincere assessment of how often you take part in these poor practices by placing your hand on your chest. However, don’t feel guilty since once you finish the questionnaire, your score will reveal something people truly appreciate about you!
